Shariah Compliance Intelligence

AI speed.
Expert logic. Human accountability.

Qistas analyzes financial statements, contracts, business models and financial products through an expert-designed Shariah compliance workflow. Islamic finance specialists define what the system looks for, what it excludes, what evidence it retains, which rules apply and when a case must be escalated. The Qistas AI agent prepares the analysis, then the Qistas consulting team reviews and finalizes every paid final report.

The AI does not improvise a fatwa. It operates inside a Qistas framework designed by Islamic finance specialists, referencing applicable AAOIFI Shariah Standards and, for Moroccan analyses, applicable published Shariah opinions issued by Morocco’s Higher Council of Ulema. It prepares a structured preliminary assessment for expert review.
Why Qistas AI is different

General-purpose AI answers broadly. Qistas analyzes through expert-defined Shariah logic.

Qistas does not ask a general-purpose model to improvise a Shariah conclusion. The underlying AI operates within a controlled decision framework designed and maintained by Islamic finance specialists. Experts define which facts must be extracted, which items are irrelevant or excluded, which evidence is retained, which thresholds and rules are applied, and which cases must be escalated to human review.

The framework references applicable AAOIFI Shariah Standards. For Moroccan analyses, a jurisdiction-specific layer also references applicable published Shariah opinions issued by Morocco’s Higher Council of Ulema and relevant Moroccan participative-finance rules.

Built for evidence, not black-box answers

Every conclusion should be traceable.

Qistas is designed to connect each finding to the underlying document, extracted data, rule, methodology and reviewer. The product is not a generic chatbot with an Islamic-finance prompt.

Methodology

A structured analysis before human judgment.

Qistas combines expert-designed Shariah decision logic, deterministic financial rules, document intelligence, an AI reasoning layer and human review. Islamic finance specialists define the screening criteria, exclusions, evidence hierarchy, thresholds and escalation rules. The goal is reproducibility, traceability and disciplined escalation of ambiguous issues.

1

Ingest & classify

Identify document type, jurisdiction, period, counterparties, product structure and missing information.

2

Extract structured facts

Financial figures and contractual clauses are extracted into structured fields. Calculations are performed by deterministic code rather than delegated to the language model.

3

Apply the expert-designed Shariah rules engine

Islamic finance specialists define what the engine tests, what it excludes, which evidence it keeps, the applicable thresholds and when human escalation is mandatory. Rules are selected according to analysis type, methodology version and jurisdiction.

4

AI-assisted reasoning within expert constraints

The AI agent maps findings, explains issues, surfaces contradictions and drafts a preliminary analysis within the expert-defined Qistas methodology. It is not permitted to substitute generic model judgment for controlled Shariah rules.

5

Qistas expert review

A Qistas consultant reviews source documents, calculations, issue severity and conclusions before a paid final report is released.

Classification

Clear outcomes instead of a misleading “halal score”.

The platform can display AI confidence numerically, but the compliance conclusion should use controlled categories.

Compliant

No material issue identified under the selected methodology, subject to report scope.

Conditionally compliant

Potentially acceptable if stated corrective actions or conditions are satisfied.

Requires review

Insufficient data or issue requiring deeper expert or scholarly judgment.

Non-compliant

A material issue conflicts with the selected methodology within the documented scope.

Pricing

Pay for analysis. Pay more for accountability.

Confidentiality

Your documents stay private.

Qistas treats client documents and analysis files as confidential. Access is limited to authorized Qistas personnel and the technical service providers strictly required to operate the platform. Client documents are not sold, used for advertising, or made public.

01

Controlled access

Only the client account and authorized Qistas reviewers can access a case. The platform keeps the AI-generated preliminary assessment separate from the human-reviewed final report.

02

No public pre-signed NDA

A reusable public document carrying the company’s signature creates an avoidable fraud risk. Qistas therefore generates a client-specific confidentiality agreement after login. The client signs it first; Qistas then countersigns the executed copy.

03

Case-specific NDA

After signing in, clients can generate a personalized confidentiality agreement tied to their account and save it as PDF for signature. Signature legalization or notarization can be requested when a particular engagement requires it, rather than imposing it on every client.

Important transparency

“Private” does not mean that no technical processor ever handles data. Where the platform uses hosting, email or AI infrastructure, those providers may process data solely to deliver the service under their applicable terms. Qistas should not promise absolute non-disclosure if external processors are used.

Terms of use

Clear limits for an independent assessment service.

Qistas Shariah Intelligence provides AI-assisted preliminary analysis and, where purchased, human-reviewed consulting reports. It does not issue a fatwa, guarantee compliance, provide legal advice, or replace an approval legally required from a regulator or competent Shariah authority.
